Bulgaria

Bulgaria

With a population in excess of 8 million, Bulgaria borders Greece and Turkey to the South, Romania to the North, Serbia and Macedonia to the West and the Black Sea to the East.

Bulgaria is both politically and socially stable and became a full member of NATO in 2004. Bulgaria is on target to join the EU in 2007 and signed the EU Accession Agreement on the 25th April, 2005.

The property market started to develop in the last couple of years with prices today still considerably lower compared with many other European countries. Property prices are expected to rise in line with other European countries who joined the EU in recent years.

The Black Sea Coast, in particular Slanchev Briag (Sunny Beach) and Sveti Vlas (Saint Vlas), has been a popular tourist destination with both Western and Eastern Europeans for many years. Demand far outweighs supply for quality accommodation. Coupled with relatively low prices make this an ideal time to invest in Bulgaria.

BULGARIAN SEASIDE

Nessebar

Nessebar is a UNESCO protected Island which dates back to Roman times with over 40 churches, wooden clad houses and cobbled streets, located directly across the bay from Sunny Beach and Sveti Vlas.

The beaches along this part of the Black Sea Coast are clean and safe. Sea temperatures between the months of May and September average around 25 degrees centigrade.

Sveti Vlas

Sveti Vlas (Saint Vlas) is a picturesque town located at the base of the gentle slopes of the Balkan Mountain Range (Stara Planina) and where the mountains spill into the Black Sea. Sveti Vlas is just 5 kilometres across a delightful bay formed from the Island of Nessebar, Sunny Beach and Elenite resort. It is the only resort in Bulgaria with completely south facing sandy beach. Sveti Vlas is the quieter of the 2 resorts of Sunny Beach and Sveti Vlas, but is close enough to Sunny Beach to benefit from its restaurants, shops and other facilities.

Four kilometres north of Sunny Beach, Sveti Vlas is 25 minutes from Burgas and around 1 hour from Varna international airports. Sofia is a 4 hour drive.
